Our Physiotherapy Department includes specialists who work together to provide a comprehensive rehabilitative care for patients who suffer impairments, functional limitations and disabilities. The center places a great emphasis on individuality when developing the treatment plan. It starts treatment by running a thorough evaluation to identify the problem and building a well-organized plan for a certain amount of time. Patients are expected to cooperate and follow through with the help and constant supervision of a specialist.

Our physiotherapists are well qualified and can handle multidisciplinary cases. physiotherapy treatments are individually tailored to the patient needs.

Advanced stroke care program: - Specialized form of physiotherapy treatment where the goal is to maximize the recovery of functions. Physiotherapists helps to relieve movement problems balance gait problems tight muscles and swallowing difficulties. Physiotherapists are specialized in giving treatments focus on improving gross and fine motor skills balance and co ordination strength and endurance also cognitive and sensory integration.

Four criteria which help you to achieve goals

Vestibular rehabilitation aims to reduce the sensation of dizziness and improve balance. A full assessment is completed to establish the cause of the symptoms, and then a range of treatment/management strategies are suggested. These include balance retraining, education and relaxation techniques. Exercises to encourage adaptation in the vestibular system are also included.

The Physiotherapy department has a unique hydrotherapy program. Hydrotherapy uses the buoyancy, warmth, and effect of water turbulence to speed recovery after surgery, reduce pain, stress, spasms, and discomfort. Hydrotherapy is particularly beneficial for sport-injuries and chronic diseases like arthritis.

 

The Physical Therapy department boasts a state-of-the-art pool equipped with a modern hoist for disabled patients, and a viewing glass to monitor patient progress.

The Physiotherapy department also boasts impressive gyms and personalized private treatment rooms fitted with the most modern, up to date equipment.

Treatment on an inpatient basis is provided two to three times daily on all wards of the hospital and provision of continuity of care on an outpatient basis is also facilitated through the following outpatient clinics – sports medicine, pediatrics, and multidisciplinary neuromuscular and spine.

 

The center offers special programs to raise awareness among patients such as how to reach the highest possible level of function and independence in their daily activities. Our most valuable mission is guiding patients to take control over their lives, despite their illnesses and health limitations.
